MT. MAYON

Me and my best friend Anne are so excited about this trip.  We're able to get the seat sale of Airphil round trip tickets for just 245php (not bad.. right).  First time to fly also with Airphil and there's nothing so excited to talked about the plane experienced aside from seeing the flight attendants wearing shorts. =)

We arrived Legazpi around 10am and damn its the perfect time to arrived in Albay. WHY?  Mt. Mayon welcomed us with its Gigantic size and perfect cone shape, I could not asked for more.  When the plane landed everyone clapped, i thought it was because we had a safe landing but i was wrong, we can clearly see the Mt. Mayon.  No clouds were covering its cone, it was trully a magnificent site =)

During my elementary days my teacher in the subject Sibika and Kultura told me that Mt. Mayon has  a perfect cone shaped.  That's the main reason why its so popular and many tourist visits this place.   In my entire life I've never imagined that one day mt. mayon and i will meet each other. And i tell you it was a shocking meeting =) hahhahahahah (natakot si mayon>?) hahahahah

I've been reading blogs, books and magazines about Mt. Mayon but i never thought that it was soooooo huge!..  I've seen Mt. pinatubo and Taal Volcano but these two were incomparable when it comes to size.  please forgive my innocence, i didn't know that Mayon will be this big, Sa sobrang laki nya halos kung san parte ka man ng Albay magpunta matatanaw mo cya. That's how big it is =) seriously ang laki nga nya eehehheh =)

If you can only see my reaction upon seeing it the first time, i was like a kid amazed on something in front of me, wondering how this thing grew up this big =) (feeling ko kasi tao cya na lumalaki lang ehhehe )

Mayon rises 2462 m (8,077 ft) above the gulf, can you just imagine that.  I will never get tired taking pictures of this amazing sight =)

Unfortunately since my budget for this 3day trip was only 3000php i cant afford to include ATV on my activities since it cost 1,800php and ill be able to explore Mt.Mayon closer. Maybe next time =)

I will forever be amazed by its beauty. It was indeed one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen

VERA FALLS

Una ko pa lang kita sa Vera Falls sa page ni lakwatseradeprimera (http://www.lakwatseradeprimera.com/enchanting-vera-falls/ ) i was determined to visit this Magnificent Place as she described it.  I was able to get some tips from Claire (thank you soo much). 

Salamat sa 245php taxes and fees included ng Airphil, nakapunta din ako ng Albay.. first time kong lumipad with them... ako pa ba ang maging choosy =)

We arrived at 10am in Legazpi airport and we started our journey right away.  Our first destination VERA FALLS. 

Sa dami ng pagbabagong naganap sa aking buhay this past few months, mejo mahirap na para sa akin ang gumawa ng itinerary, i do not have TIME.. but thanks to my PTB family and friends they were able to help me out on this trip.

From the airport we took the a tricycle heading the Central Terminal (50php), from there we took a van (35php) heading to Tobacco and tricycle (25php) again going to Malinao.  We have other options like taking van but they were charging us like 3000 - 4000 php, good thing i was able to asked some people who is familiar with the area and told us  that is not WORTH IT! better to commute if we are on a budget =)

When we reached Barangay Bulang, Malinao, sabi ni manong tricycle driver magintay daw kami ng habal habal.. that would be the only form of transportation going to the falls.  We waited for like over an hour pero walang dumating..  Nagtanong kami sa mga batang naglalaro sa ulan (since its raining that day) sabi nila Lunch Break daw .. (kakaloka) kami nga di pa naglulunch eh... well wala nmn kaming choice.. so nagintay kami hangang may dumating.. Ung unang dumating ang singil ay 200php oneway.. isang malakas na NO ang narinig nya sa akin... di namn kmi ganun kayaman para magbayad ng 200, naloloka nmn ako kay kuya.. we are determined to wait for another habal habal.. para mas makamura kami..  were able to talked to another driver and we agreed 200php roundtrip. di namn kasi kami maliligo we just want to see the falls.. un lang...  (pero pinagsisihan ko na di kami nakaligo dun =()

Sobrang narrow ng daan patungo sa falls... di nga kakayanin ng mga malalaking sasakyan, may part pa na sadyang matarik.. pero di mo mtatawaran ang view... ang Mt. Mayon kitang kita mo.. pakiramdam ko nga lagi nya akong sinusundan.. perfect cya talaga.

Nung asa parking area na kami , i can hear the sound of running water.... i wanna go down right away pero since mabigat ang bag ko.. hinay hinay lang...

When i saw the falls... sobrang napatulala ako sa ganda... ang ganda nya talga.. halos ayokong lubayan ang pagkuha ng pictures.. sayang nga lang at wala akong sobrang gandang camera... pero i think this shots will somehow give u an idea how it looks like =) 

I loved taking pictures of this place.. And there's no entrance fee and i just wondered why? the place was so beautiful and it needs somebody/something to maintain it.  I also wish that visitors should not be allowed to eat in the swimming area.  Mejo makalat kasi eh baka madumihan pa ang falls. Or be responsible on your own mess, sayang ang ganda ng kalikasan.

Vera Falls is about 25 meters .. and the lagoon was about 2 meters deep..  before you reached it you need to hike about 1200m downhill (easy right), of course when you return back its another story... =)  sobrang nakakapagod.. goodthing ung mga driver namin naging guide namin cila at taga buhat ng bag =) tapos photographer pa hehheheh

This was just the first on our to do list and we are all mesmerized by its beauty =)
