MANILA PART 2

Like what i've said on my previous post..  i need to have a part 2 of my Manila Trip, and this time we conquer INTRAMUROS...

Ilog Pasig sa background

Pero before we went to Intramuros, nagside trip muna kami sa Chinatown...we eat sa isang chinese resto called FOUR SEASON CUISINE and fried siopao which super nasarapan ko...then we went to Binondo church...papicture sa purple na fire truck (bonga diba)
Purple Firetruck

During this trip super maulan , kahit isang malakas na ulan di kami napigilan ganyan kami kapursigido sa trip na to..
Nang mejo tumila na ang ulan , ng trike kami papuntang intramuros, inikot namin ito hanggang may oras pa kami kasi dumating kami around 4pm na ata.  May nakita kaming dungeon, statue of rizal, and other artifacts about Rizal..
Rizal Statue inside Intramuros

Nilakaran ni Rizal -  ang liit ng paa nya

sobra ko talagang mahal yan

Dungeon.. nakakatakot

After this trip, nagdinner kami sa Aristocrat Resto along Roxas. super masarap ang mga desserts nila dun... again this is not yet enough im sure my part 3 nanaman ito.
thanks Mayeen, Yumi and lovelee =)

MANILA

Sa di inaasahang pangyayari.. one of my trip was cancelled last September and im just so devastated by it...
SUPER nalungkot ako.. kasi nakamindset na ako eh, kaya lang i can not control the situation.. so i decided to have a trip na mabilisan lang, malapit and yet affordable..
Manila Cathedral

When im browsing online, nabasa ko ang page ni carlos celdran, and i must say i was inspired by his manila tours/trip.. then i told to myself  " i haven't been to MANILA CATHEDRAL and i wanna have picture with Jose Rizal ....  i planned and it didnt materilized not when the Andalucia Galleon arrived in manila... I wanna see it then Manila trip after...
dream kong magpapicture with Rizal but bawal ayaw ni kuya guard

That was the original but since super haba ng pila para makita ang Galleon,. we decided to have a manila trip instead ...
I was amazed by MANILA CATHEDRAL, its way beautiful than the pictures online ... and the Palacio de Gobernador got its own beauty too..
Walking from Manila Cathedral to San Agustin Church, reminds me of Macau.. as in. natuwa ako, kasi nauna ko pang malakad ang Macau kaysa ang manila.... and i should have explore my own country bago pa sana ang ibang bansa.. well anyways another lesson learned for me..
we went also to INTRAMUROS, ang sarap tumambay dito.... no wonder madami akong nakitang mga students na nakatambay.. ang sarap ng hangin dito... ung view ng Manila City Hall makikita mo dito, napaka calm ng pakiramdam ko.. so we decided to have some rest ...
take a look at this scene.. super relaxing, i didnt know na merong ganito sa Manila

then we decided to catch the sunset in Manila Bay...  going there was so fun kasi its my first time to ride a KALESA... bonga ang experienced na to.. wala me ginawa kungdi ang tumawa ng tumawa... nakakatuwa sumakay sa kalesa..
ang KALESA bow.. ang kutsero at ang kabayo... ang sayang sumakay dito

we managed to catch the sunset and the scene was so great... nakaupo kami along ROxas Blvd and ang daming mga taong nagmamasid din sa paglubog ng araw..
sunset @ MANILA BAY

Siguro touring around Manila may not crossed ur mind but its a truly an amazing experienced... do not me a stranger sa sarili mong bansa.... love it own it... wala nmn ng magmamahal sa pinas kungdi tayo ring mga pinoy.

i must say... kulang ang oras namin para maenjoy ang MANILA trip na to... for sure , may part 2 ito =)
thanks to lovelee.. my travel bud on this trip .. super nagenjoy ako gurl.. ur my tour guide on this trip . super thanks..

POLILO ISLAND

Since im always online checking on some great beaches in the Philippines, i was mesmerized by the beauty of Polilo Island.
From there, i arranged my itinerary with couple of friends and after couple of months we arrived in Polilo Island.
this may not be a perfect beach for you but its a perfect place to relax for me

Getting there was the worst experienced na naranasan ko but sabi nga nila YOU ALWAYS LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES... maybe kinapos nnmn ako ng research kasi i never knew na meron pa lang mga aircon vans na bumabyahe from Manila to Infanta, Quezon... well anyways ... we waited for more than one hour sa BUS going to INFANTA kaya nung may dumating na Bus di na kami nag 2 isip na sumakay. WALANG AIRCON, PUNO NG KARGADA AT WALANG UPUAN yan ang nakita namin bago pa lang kami sumakay.. we thought na wala na kaming choice kasi kailangan naming maabutan ang unang byahe ng lantsa from Ungos going to Polilo ng 7am.. so imagine this almost 2 hrs kang nakatayo, wla kang maupuan o masandalan kasi puno ng mga makina ng bangka, paninda, gulay, tao at etc.....  my knees were already numb and i almost cried sa hirap, (wala pa kasi akong matinong tulog coming off from work)..
After mga 3 hrs we arrived UNGOS PORT, they collect like 10php each passenger na papasok then sasakay ka na ng Lantsa,,, its my first time to ride a Lantsa na ganung kalaki.,, mejo takot pero mukha nmn cyang matibay.. another hour ride before we reach Polilo Island...
Habang asa Lantsa i asked my friend bakit ang daming tao, ang she said "eleksyon kasi" ... now i know that namali ako ng araw ng punta... i should have gone after ng eleksyon baka mas naging komportable byahe.. then i told to myself 'THIS SHOULD BE WORTH IT!' ...

then, di nakisama ang panahon...umuulan ng bonga, pero we wanna see Polilo and explore  it... so we did... nagtrek kami for one hour... and this would be the buko day... and a buko day indeed... nun lang ako nakaexperienced ng BUKO ALL U CAN... ako n nga ang sumuko kahit super love ko ang buko... di na kaya ng powers ko....
we supposed to go to Balesin Island pero since malakas ang alon, pinagpaliban muna namin ito...
bukid sa probinsya.. it always reminds me of my childhood in Nueva Ecija

Matapos naming kumain ng unlimitted buko, fresh pusit namn nadatnan namin na niluluto.... im not a food tripper just a tripper but this trip .. binusog nya ako ng bonga.... inihaw at adobo ang pusit na ito.... perfect for hungry stomach..
kinabukasan.. we went to a small town called Daet ( i hope tama ung name ng place) para magswim.. malakas pa din kasi ang alon and kuya cant risks it para mapuntahan ang balesin...  so we opt to another place where in maganda din nmn ang makikita namn..
Super tahimik sa bayan na to.. simple ang mga tao.. we drive like an hr or two from the city proper of Polilo.. so mejo malayo but its worth it... its a sanctuary kaya malinis ang tubig at pinangangalagaan ito ng mga tao..
Time to relax my body and soul... ang paglalakad ko sa dalampasigan always gaves me energy... it revitalized me.. super relaxing... kaya i love beaches... i love water...
Beach, food, peaceful = perfect life

Nung pauwi na ako, was one of the amazing pictures na nakunan ko ang SUNSET... i was in the middle of the ocean when the sun rises... i wanna experienced it again... iba ang ganda ng bukang liwayway..
sunrise in the middle of the ocean

On my way hope.. nadaanan ko ang sandamakmak na puno ng buko... i was so thrilled to go back to Polilo Island.. masyado nya akong binusog.. thanks to kuya nel, karen and ate vicki... ur the best ever..
mga puno ng buko / niyog going back to manila

di ko man narating ang Balesin island, that's fine, kasi sa pagkain pa lang nasulet na ang punta ko sa Polilo Island.. but i wanna go back to explore it more.. kulang ang 3 araw para sa lugar na to.. it should be a week =)

CAPAS NATIONAL SHRINE

When i travel i always wanna maximize ang time na nandoon ako... kung pwedeng matour ko ang buong lugar and see the beautiful places na meron ito i will do that, kaya naman i always read blogs and reviews before i travel...
travel buddies-- francis,me,grace,joey and mai

since my friends and i decided to trek Mt. Pinatubo, i checked for places na pwede naming maging sidetrip and we decided to add Capas National Shrine.  Before you reached the jump off point ng Mt. Pinatubo madadaanan mo ang shrine na to..Napakaaga namin sa Capas, and closed pa ito when we arrived, (opens at 8am - 5pm).. so babalikan na lang namin cya after ng pinatubo trip namin..
CAPAS NATIONAL SHRINE

May entrance itong 10php para sa maintenance, and we spend like 30mins sa loob..it was a trip na never nag occurred saken na makukumpleto ko na  ang Bataan Death March trip ko.. (which i did couple of months ago)  Death March started in Bataan and ended in Capas, Tarlac.

Habang naglalakad sa Shrine i noticed my mga names ng mga tao na sumama sa Death March and i was so proud to say na meron akong Kaapelyido di lang isa kungdi 6 na tao.. one way or another inisip ko na lang na mga relatives ko sila ang prayed for their soul.
PROUD TO BE VILLADOLID

MT. PINATUBO

Mt. Pinatubo Crater

One of the most captivating scenery na nakita ko sa Pilipinas. Kung anu ang nakikita mo sa picture mas maganda cyang damhin sa personal.. However I’m not recommending this trip to my family and friends, its too dangerous.

with my travelling buddies

Before my trip, i always read blogs, reviews and etc about the place, just to have an idea kung anu ang aabutan ko dun. In short i always do my homework whenever i travel. Last August 2010, im done with the research and stuff and we are set to go last September, but due to uncontrollable event it was cancelled. Moving forward, the long wait was over, we decided to do it last Saturday.

Masyado kaming excited, asa Capas na bago mag ala 6 ng umaga, and since maaga, dumaan muna kami sa Capas Shrine, pero sarado pa pla ito at nagbubukas ng 8am. So we drive na going to the Pinatubo Spa where andun nag hihintay ang 4x4 namin.

Dumating kami dun mga 630am pero di pa din kami nakaalis kasi they need to get a so signal sa mga airforce na ok na ang pumunta sa pinatubo and i was like “kuya 3 times na po itong namove, ang layo pa ng pinangalingan namin, di ito maari”.. ang kuya said “wala po tayong magagawa kapag di sila pumayag”.. and wala n lang kaming nagawa kungdi ang maghintay at tumunganga..
After few hrs, pumayag na ang air force (i dont know y air force ang nagbabantay dun).. And so our adventure begins...
Mga 1 hr ung 4x4, dadaan kayo ng mga maliliit na ilog, mababatong daan at mga lahar na kabundukan, then we realized why nga nghihigpit ang mga authoridad. Nang dumating kami sa jump off point, nagsimula na kaming maglakad and we , i was disappointed to know na we need to trek 3 hrs, and di sa pintaubo crater kakain kundi sa Pinatubo spa location.. DISSAPOINTED... as in ... ang lahat ng ito ay natanong ko ngunit datapwat subalit iba ang nasabi sa akin.. (Lesson learned, pag my lakad always have a food and water with u, just in case).. habang nagpapahinga na kami sa cottage dun, we learned na ung 4x4 ay nabagsakan ng malaking bato, nagiisa lang ang puting 4x4 dun and un ang sinakyan namn before kaming maglakad, i was worried kasi nakilala ko nmn si Kuya Poy and driver ng 4x4 nmin, accdg to some, ayaw daw nila sana na maglakad ng malayo ang mga tourist nila coz they were not informed, after hearing this, wala n rin akong nasabi, blessing in disquise na rin siguro na naglakad kami, can u imagine if kasama kami dun.? (i dont even wanna think about it) anyways, nadala si kuya poy sa ospital and accdg to kuya wendell he was ok na daw.

un edited pic...

Reaching Mt. Pinatubo was indeed a breath taking experienced but i had to admit, kulang ang panahon na inistay ko sa pagtrek na ginawa ko, trek for almost 3 hrs back and forth and stayed there for just 2 hrs, di sulet di ba, but upon learning what happened sa driver namin, i just wanna go home as fast as i can, i just dont feel safe anymore.. sa loob ng 2 hrs, we just took pictures, take a nap and kwentuhan, thats it... nakakaloka di ba , but its a learning experience for all of us.. lalo na ako..

joey, francis, mai, grace and me

MT. PINATUBO might be one of the most beautiful scenery na pwede mong makita sa Luzon but i dont recommend to go there not unless, ok na ung skyway, at tag araw na ... SAFETY first.. yan ang importante.

HAPPY TRAVEL!!!
